What's PASSLOGIC?

PASSLOGIC the strong authentication system

Thank you for your interest in PASSLOGIC. PASSLOGIC utilizes our originally developed One-Time Password system to make it one of the strongest authentication systems on the market.
Currently PASSLOGIC is used by nearly 300,000 people every day without any need for tokens. PASSLOGIC provides you with strong authentication and liberates you from troublesome tokens.

1.Features and Benefits for users

1-1
No Token

With PASSLOGIC, there is absolutely no need for Tokens. Operation is completed entirely within one device such as a PC, PDA or Smartphone.

1-2
Strong Authentication

PASSLOGIC is a 'One Time Password' System that uses the 'Challenge-Response' method. This is the strongest authentication combination available within OTP systems. Furthermore, unlike token-based systems, PASSLOGIC does not display the password anywhere that another person could happen to see it. Details of PASSLOGIC's algorithm are shown on chapter 3.

1-3
Easy to use

With conventional OTP systems, users must input a long and complex password shown in their token.
In contrast to this, PASSLOGIC is an easy-to-memorize password system. Because forgetting of a password by the user is eliminated, PASSLOGIC is also easy to administrate

1-4
Proven track record

PASSLOGIC is one of the leading authentication systems in Japan and has close to 300,000 licensed users.

2.Features and Benefits for administrators
2-1
Reduces administrator’s duties

Conventional OPT systems require many types of hardware tokens. While this is the greatest feature of conventional OPT systems, it is also their weakest point. Users’ tokens may be lost, stolen or broken. Furthermore, all hardware tokens have a battery and batteries have a life-span. The total cost of managing hardware tokens is higher than you think.
PASSLOGIC is a NO-TOKEN SYSTEM so there are no token management costs incurred.
The administrator can set various factors that tighten or loosen control throughout the system, such as minimum password length, maximum failure count to lock out etc.

4.How PASSLOGIC works
3-1
PASSLOGIC and Mobile Phones

Using PASSLOGIC with a mobile phone, users can be authenticated from anywhere even if they don't have computer access. For example, users can unlock the door of their home.

3-2
Extraction Patterns

First, the user registers a pattern shape such as a ‘V’. This creates a password based on an image that is easy to remember and that cannot be guessed by others. That’s the key point of the PASSLOGIC system.

PASSLOGIC’s matrix table changes each time the system is used. The user never enters the same password twice (One Time Password).

Users can extract the password from any shape they can think of.

Users can select a shape that overlaps at one point.

In addition to shapes, users can input a pre-determined string of characters for a stronger password.
